Before we left we tossed around the options of spending a day at either Seaworld, Universal Studios (because Amanda really wanted to visit the new Harry Potter land park), or Disney World, all of which being roughly a three hour drive from where we were staying in Jacksonville. In the end Disney of course won out, being the park that the kids would get the most enjoyment out of (and that mom and dad got the biggest discount of tickets of through AAA).
The last time I was in Disney World I was 16 years old and went with the music department of my high school while we participated in Disney Magical Music Days. I was never so proud to be a chorus nerd. I was lucky enough to be able to spend the a week during the millennium in Disney. When the year 2000 hit, I was in Epcot. It's a pretty cool that I'll be able to tell my grand kids one day exactly where I was when time rolled over. Ever since that trip I knew I wanted to go back, because Disney really is magical.
Mike had never been to Disney before. Heck, before we were married Mike had never really been anywhere before. It's a pretty awesome thing, not only being able to see the magic of someplace new in my children's eyes, but also my husbands. Needless to say, it's in our immediate plans to come back and spend an entire week, because a day in the Magic Kingdom just didn't do it justice.
