Simplicity

I love everything about the Fourth of July. I love celebrating our country and our freedom. I love the picnics, the family togetherness, the food, oh how I love the food. I loved singing classic Americana and Folk songs in church on Sunday morning, I loved the burnt hot dogs that were grilled especially for me. I love watching my kids run together through the grass while I lay my head on my husbands shoulder. I love them all, those simple pleasures of life that our freedom grants us.

But can you guess what part of the day Gage loved the most?

The sparklers.

I hope that you're fourth was an amazing one, filled with those good things that remind us of just how lucky we are.

Our sparklers were a DUD! I used up all the butane in our lighters making flowers, so we only had enough flame to light the punk for the other fireworks. Amelia was disappointed, but the poppers with streamers were a hit and she eventually got over the lack of sparklers when we lit up the fountain fireworks :)
