A Trip to the Greenhouse

The weather here has been pretty temperamental lately, and by temperamental I mean down right crazy.  For 3 weeks solid it rained buckets, only stopping enough in between shower to let everything dry before it got wet all over again.  And now that our wet spell finally broke a heat wave moved right along in and took it's place.
It's been in the 90's here the last few days and the humidity has been downright outrageous.  Houses around here aren't fitted with central air conditioning, so people have been finding creative ways to cool off.  But us?The first opportunity we had, we hopped on over to a few greenhouses to pick out some flowers and some veggies.  (Because as any kid who has been bribed by his Mama would know, planting things means playing with the hose, and playing with the hose means staying cool in the hot weather.)

So bright and early one morning, before the sun had too long of a chance to heat up our little town, Gage and I left on our adventure where he weaved in and out of the flats of flowers like a little mischievous garden gnome.

PS:  Blogger has been acting up for me the past week or so.  I am definatly stopping by all of your blogs friends, but I haven't been to comment on most of them.  Which is pretty lame.  Get your act together Blogger!

So it's not just me? Blogger has been a real bugger about rejecting my comments all over the place! Boooooo! Look at all those purdy flowers. It's getting so hot here that mine are getting singed :( We have been playing in the water a LOT to keep cool.
