Science Fair

Back when I was in school I excelled in things like English and Literature.  But Brayden, his mind works so differently than mine did at his age that often times I have trouble understanding it.

Brayden is smart, very much so.  He has a knack for all things scientific and love of history, so much so that he's been invited to go to a special Science summer day camp for gifted children where he'll get to do experiments and learn even more.  And he's excited about going.

When I was 8 all I wanted to do run around outside and play Barbies.  All Brayden does is watch historical documentaries and Myth Buster on television or read science books and jot down experiments that he's like to do in his notebooks.

Just a few happy pictures from the school Science Fair taken with my iPhone.

I know that you might not always be in love with Science, but for now I'm thrilled that you still see the joy in learning new things.  Never lose that spark, little boy.  It'll carry you to some amazing places if you hold firm.

I'm so psyched for him...and for you. Being the geeky one, I would LOVE to go to Science camp :) I keep telling Dom I'm sending one or both kids to Space Camp someday. I could care less if they really want to go, I just want to have the chance I never had to go! He looks so happy...it's awesome.
