MOPS

This year Gage are I are doing MOPS. And let me be the first to tell you, if by chance you've never heard about it, it's absolutely wonderful.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers and is a place for women to make friends, share experiences, laugh together and receive understanding and gentle encouragement. Meeting twice a month, it's a morning of fellowship, guidance, support, and affirmation for mothers of infant through kindergarten age children.

The best pare is that MOPS groups are run by mothers for mothers. Our program includes an encouraging message, time for mama's to gather and talk in small groups, a craft and a variety of other activities intended to deepen friendships and spiritual growth and aid in parenting.

Above all though, MOPS is a refreshing break from child care responsibilities to gather with other women my community who are in the same boat as I am and do so over craft projects, refreshments and conversation while the kids are engaged in a stimulating and fun programs of their own.

And did you know that there are MOPS groups all over the country? Really! Trust me, if we have one in Podunk PA here, you probably have one too.
