Sunshine and Renewal

After my post last week about being in a funk, I decided that enough is enough. I've been feeling down and tired for awhile now, that much is true enough. But, for me, when I'm stuck in a situation like that I'm faced with two options: let is continue and fall deeper and deeper in or climb out of that hole and push myself to embrace all of the parts of my life that I find joy in, including my creative spirit.

So the latter of the two is what I've decided to do. I've officially closed my etsy shop over the weekend in order to work on some new pieces and re-do some of my photographs. It's been pretty much neglected for awhile now, so I have quite a bit of work ahead of me, but that's ok, because it's work that I enjoy doing ... even if I forgot that for a second or two.

The weather here has finally been nice enough over the weekend to be outside and enjoying the sunshine a bit, so that's how we spent our weekend, drawing with sidewalk chalk, 4 wheeling, riding bikes and scooters, and just plain old running and rolling around. It was grand. The rain and the snow are back today though, but I know that soon the clouds will part and the sunshine will stay longer than the weekend.

It's Monday, and my vow today is to be productive. The washer and dryer are running and perhaps I'll get to work on sewing my new living room curtains ... it's early, who knows what the day will bring!

xoxo,

Yay! Glad you chose the sunshine!! I find that after a bad day, or a series of bad days, the light at the end of the tunnel is so bright and cheerful and I'm always refreshed. I hope that is the same for you!
