One Busy Bee

I promise you all that I haven't fallen off of a cliff or disappeared or any of that stuff. I'm still here in bloggy land, I promise!! The past few days have been a total whirlwind.

Thursday my baby boy, Brayden, graduated from Kindergarten, complete with a school program full of songs, a paper graduation crown, and a diploma.... oh, and a sobbing momma in the audience who just had the extreme realization that her tiny little first born baby is no longer a tiny little baby buy a growing child who is learning and is growing more and more independent.
The very next day my 17 year old brother, Ron, graduated from High School and I got the do that same realization all over again only in the role of the big sister rather than the mom. And on Saturday Mike and I hosted a very very large graduation party at my house with tons and tons of friends and family (who left my yard in complete disarray I might add!) So yeah ... I spent Saturday playing hostess and Sunday cleaning, washing, scrubbing, and so on.

And then there is today. *Sigh* Today I started my new job at the American Red Cross. The job itself, well today at least, wasn't bad at all and wasn't the pure hell I was expecting. But I've been a stay at home momma for three years now, so I'm sure I worked myself up just a bit too much. But I've got to say that I'm entirely heartbroken over the fact that today was the longest time that I can remember that I've been away from my kids. It's an adjustment, that's for certain. I'm quite positive that I'll do that whole roller coaster of emotions thing as well.

But hopefully as things become a bit more regular around here and we all adjust to our new schedules of mommy working and no school for the summer I'll be able to blog a bit more regularly and possibly update the etsy shop as well.

Oh, and there are pictures from the last few days on the memory card in my camera, but that camera is in the other room and quite frankly I'm way too exhausted to even bother with getting up to get it, so please, enjoy this totally random photo instead :)

xoxo

Thanks for reminding me that on the verge of a nervous breakdown over feeling like I have too much to do that I'm not the only one :) I'm glad to hear that day one at work was not a disaster. I've only been at home full time for a little over a year, but I'm not sure how I'd take being back in the thick of it again. Here's to finding time to get it all done!

Wow, you sound busy! But I'm glad your first day was all right. I'm sure it will be easier once you have settled. And just think... Adult conversation! Sounds heavenly!
